Submission of Manuscripts
The conference proceedings of BECoME-2025 will be published as a Virtual Special Issue (VSI) as part of an initiative to support the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. Participants can submit their manuscript to the Virtual Special Issue (VSI) of the BECoME-2025 conference via the online submission system of one of the three Elsevier journals, Journal of Marine Systems, Marine Environmental Research, and Regional Studies in Marine Science, by selecting “VSI: OD-Marine Ecosystem MARSYS”. The online submission system has been open since 9th September 2025, while the deadline for manuscript submission is 31st December 2025. All submitted manuscripts will be subject to the journals’ standard peer-review procedures.
Accepted manuscripts will first be published as regular papers in standard issues of these journals, and then will be compiled into the VSI once all accepted articles are ready for assemblage. This VSI will also serve as an Ocean Decade VSI on Marine Ecosystems (i.e., Biodiversity, Ecology and Conservation).
